1. Certificate in Arabic Language (Full-time)
The certificate level will serve as an introduction to the Arabic Language, which target those with little to no Arabic learning background. This course will focus on the four basic language skills of speaking, reading, listening and writing. Student will be able to initiate and respond to simple Arabic conversation. Students are able to read and have a considerable understanding of any text given. In addition to this, they will be introduced to Arabic grammar and classical text.
This course is designed to transition students into the pre-diploma level. When a student completes this course with grade B or better, their application can be considered for the Arabic language pre-diploma level.
Medium: Arabic & English
- Moderate proficiency in the four language skills; reading, listening, writing, conversing.
- Moderate understanding of basic Arabic grammar.
- Moderate understanding of introductory classical Arabic.
- Open to students from the age of 16 onwards.
- Able to recite the Qur’an moderately. An entrance test will be conducted when needed. (Students may be required to attend an integration session for 2 sessions before the semester starts).
Certification: Students must complete and pass all 24 credit hours by which a certificate in Arabic language will be granted.
Monday to Wednesday: 9.00am – 1.30pm & 2.00pm – 4.00pm (only if required)
Thursday: 8.30am – 4.00pm (Students are required to attend CCA: 2.00pm – 4.00pm on Thursdays.)
Friday: 9.00am – 11.00am & 2.00pm – 4.00pm (only if required)
Registration Fee: $95 (Non-Refundable)
Course Fee: $1920 ($160/month x 12 months)

2. Certificate in Islamic Studies (Part-time)
To inculcate a continuous learning culture, Muhammadiyah Islamic College (MIC) structured a curriculum in the form of Certificate in Islamic Studies which is ideal for students who have been studying Fardhu ‘Ain at Mosques at an introductory level. This program is modelled with proper syllabus and students will be assessed via presentations, project papers and examinations. At MIC, we believe every Muslim deserves the chance to learn Islam in depth. Hence it is structured in a manner where students will be able to pursue their education to the Degree level.
MIC has identified the combination of Usuluddin, Syariah, Quranic Studies and Hadith as core subjects in learning and understanding Islam. Thus, at this level, the program will focus on the aforementioned subject in addition to Sirah and Akhlak.
Students can further their studies to the Diploma Level.

- Produce Muslim individuals who understand the religion and practice upon it in accordance with the current context of life in Singapore.
- Provide students with fundamental knowledge in Fardhu ‘Ain and Islamic Sciences
- Muslims of age 16 years old and above.
- Able to recognise the Arabic alphabets.
- Able to understand English (for English programs).
Certification: Students must comply with all requirements set by Muhammadiyah Islamic College. Students must complete 16 credits.

Slot 1 = Saturday (9.00 am – 1.30 pm)
Slot 2 = Saturday (2.00pm – 6.30pm)
Slot 3 = Sunday (9.00 am – 1.30 pm)
Slot 4 = Sunday (2.00pm – 6.30pm)
