The Degree in Tafsir & Hadith is an in-depth program designed for individuals who wish to gain comprehensive knowledge of two foundational aspects of Islamic studies: the interpretation of the Qur’an (Tafsir) and the sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) (Hadith).

This program offers a detailed exploration of the methodologies and sciences involved in understanding the Qur’an and Hadith, including principles of exegesis, authentication, and classification. Students will study classical and contemporary works in both fields, enhancing their ability to analyze and interpret the Qur’an and Hadith in various contexts.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • 18 Years of age and above

  • Graduated formal Islamic Studies from any one of the following:

    a.      Full-time or Part-time Advanced Diploma course in MIC

    b.      Diploma from an institution recognized by MIC

    c.       Pre-University level from any Full-Time Madrasah

  • Applicants may be required to satisfy additional requirements such as an entrance test and interview.

TRANSFER CREDIT

  • Transfer Credit can be granted based on prior undertaking of Islamic studies/modules.
  • Approval is based on a complete submission of proof of prior studies and transfer credit form.
